The rain bucketed down...

The well prepared grounds of Ansell Park turned into a quagmire of epic proportions.

... And still the show cars showed up.

Around 80 cars in all, arranged into 5 Categories, each in their own line. Prizes were awarded for Sedans, Sports (race cars), Coupes, Convertibles, Historics and the President's Choice.

Unfortunately, by the time I got there, battled through the mud to park the cars, cleaned that very same mud back off both my cars and settled down to admire all the other wonderful vehicles on display, the brief respite in the weather was over and the rain came back with a vengance...

Another fine photo opportunity was lost.

My cars did well on the day despite the weather, and I walked away with a 2nd in the Convertibles Class for my X1/9 and a 3rd place in the Coupe Class for the 850.

Also spotted over the weekend were two more beautiful cars - this Fiat Dino and an Abarth 850 TC in immaculate condition.
