Introduced at the 1976 Paris Salon, the Ferrari 512BB replaced the 365 GT4/BB. The BB stands for Belinetta Boxer, meaning a horizontally opposed engine. The 512 indicates a 5 litre, 12 cylinder power plant capable of 360bhp and a top speed estimated at 188mph. The later 1979 model with the addition of fuel injection achieved 475bhp at 7200rpm.
