Alboretto driving for Ferrari

Born in 1956, Michele Alboretto got his first Formula 1 race with Tyrell at the San Marino Grand Prix of 1981. But it was a drive for Ferrari that beckoned to the young Italian, and in 1984 to 1988, he got his wish.

His best result in the World Drivers Championship was with Ferrari in 1985 when he finished the year second having won two races and been consistent throughout the season. He competed in 194 Grands Prix for various teams through his 14 year Formula 1 career.
